Gautam Thapar is LessonReel’s founder. After graduating from Stanford University in 2010, he joined Teach For America and taught eighth grade in San Jose, CA for one year before moving to Richmond, CA to teach high school US History for three more. He led significant gains in student achievement, including a 2,100% increase in the number of students passing the AP US History Exam, and was named a Sue Lehmann Excellence in Teaching Award semi-finalist in 2012. Gautam is currently pursuing an MBA at Ross.
Ryan Melvin graduated from Birmingham Southern College in Alabama before joining Teach For America in 2011. He taught Physics at the same school as Gautam, and led an increase in the number of students scoring proficient or advanced on the state exam by over 800% during his first year. The following year Ryan started an AP Physics class, with 14 of his 25 students passing the AP Exam. Ryan was a Sue Lehmann Excellence in Teaching Award semi-finalist in 2013. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Physics at Wake Forest University.
Devon Proctor graduated from Stanford University with an undergraduate degree in Economics in 2010 and a MS degree in Statistics in 2011. After completing a summer internship with Facebook, Devon joined Google as a product engineer. He is currently a senior product engineer at Google and will provide technical support and consulting for LessonReel.
Ameesh Davé graduated from Rutgers University in 2008 with a degree in Finance. He has experience in financial services after working in the Asset Management department at JP Morgan in New York City for six years. His skill-set includes financial modeling, data analysis, and sales. Ameesh is currently pursuing an MBA at Ross.
Sachiv Shah graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2010 with a degree in Business Administration. He has three years of experience with Accenture as a financial and strategy consultant, focusing on ways to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and optimize production. Sachiv is currently pursuing an MBA at Ross.
Srikanth Thiyagarajan graduated from Johns Hopkins in 2010 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. After graduating, he joined Abbott Laboratories as a business analyst in a technology-consulting role. His background in technology and software development make him an asset to the LessonReel team. Srikanth is currently pursuing an MBA at Ross.
